Roadtrips in the Pennsylvania Wilds

What makes a roadtrip in the Pennsylvania Wilds so thrilling? Maybe it's the way nature's splendor rolls unendingly past your window—mile after glorious mile of high hills, deep gorges, colorful birds, and quaint towns that invite you to stop and visit for a spell. Or maybe it's the surprises around every turn: a diner with the world's best blueberry pie, a quilt shop with the perfect pattern for your guest room, or a B&B with a grand old porch and homemade scones. We really can't put our finger on what makes a roadtrip here so special, because the reasons tend to change every time we head out exploring.

We can tell you, though, that you will find good times and happy memories here (along with wild adventures, goodies galore, and people who'll make you feel more than welcome). The Pennsylvania Wilds is so big that we decided to create a few roadtrip categories; you'd never see it all otherwise. Decide which topics interest you, then pick a roadtrip that fits the bill.
