Wildlife Watching in the Pennsylvania Wilds

You've probably heard that the Pennsylvania Wilds is home to the largest elk herd in the Northeast. We're pretty proud of that, but we're a lot more than elk. Look closely and you might see bobcats, river otters, minks, and more. Listen, too—our 375 species of songbirds are always putting on a show. Falcons, hawks, deer, and plenty of other wild creatures make this region an Eden for nature lovers.

What kind of wildlife watcher are you?

The animals don't care whether you belong to the Audubon Society or the Sierra Club or even if you can't tell a whitetail deer from an elk. They're going to keep on enjoying their lush habitat whether you're looking or not. Some people are content to sit on a park bench and watch the squirrels frolic; some aren't happy until they see every single bird in Peterson's.
